First Steps 2019

St Albans East is offering a Pre-prep Program to all 2020 Preps.

 

This program is designed to help students that are enrolled for 2020 settle into school quickly by focussing on daily routines and provide learning opportunities to assist them in preparing for Prep.

Prep 2020

The dates for transition for students who will be starting grade Prep (Foundation) in 2020 are:
Friday 22nd November 9:00am - 11:00am
Friday 6th December 9:00am - 11:00am
Friday 13th December 9:00am - 11:00am

 

Parents are invited to participate in one information evening about all aspects of school

Parent Session: Tuesday 12th November 6:00pm - 7:00pm Building 3 Library

Grade 6 Graduation

Each year the students from Grade 6 at St Albans East Primary School graduate with a very special Graduation Evening. This year it will be on the Tuesday 17th December at Taylors Lakes Hotel- Starlight Room. 
We celebrate the evening at a Reception Centre within the area, and children enjoy sharing a meal together and then performing to family and friends.

The graduation ceremony involves a few songs, dances and speeches given by the students.  The Graduating class are then presented with their Graduation Certificates, a group photograph, their Digital Portfolios, Encouragement Awards and a DVD on their primary school years.  At the end of the formal part of the evening, children are invited to participate in a short disco.

The evening has proven to be a huge success and we believe it is important for students to celebrate their achievements and this wonderful milestone in their educational lives.
 

Grade 6 - Year 7

2019 SASC Taster Day Thursday 2rd May

Students, whether enrolled in 2020 at the St Albans Secondary College or not, will be involved in activities run by the College.

2019 Big Day In will be on Tuesday 24th October

On this day all grade 6 students visit the secondary school that they will attend in 2020.
2019 Grade 6 Testing Day on Tuesday 3rd September 
All grade 6 students attend the secondary school to sit tests which will assist the school with transitioning students to Year 7.

2019 Step Up Day will be on  Tiesday 10th December

On this day all grade 6 students visit the secondary school that they will attend in 2020.
